Reporting Guidelines

Write reports that get resolved.

Clear, well-evidenced reports are triaged faster and earn higher rewards. Here is what great looks like.

  • Be specific

State exactly what abuse is happening, where, and the impact on users or the business.

  • Show evidence

Attach screenshots, URLs, timestamps and linked entities for every claim.

  • Map the network

Connected entities help companies act on the whole operation, not one account.

Report structure

Every report should follow the same structure so triage teams can review quickly.

  • Summary of the abuse
  • Affected program and scope item
  • Steps to observe or reproduce
  • Evidence and linked entities
  • Estimated impact

What to avoid

Reports may be closed as invalid or duplicate when they lack evidence, fall outside scope or involve prohibited testing.

  • Out-of-scope targets
  • Creating accounts in violation of policy
  • Contacting suspected abusers directly
