AbuseOne Assessments

Understand Your Exposure to Online Fraud.

AbuseOne helps businesses identify potential online fraud risks, investigate brand impersonation and assess their exposure to digital scams. Our assessments turn publicly observable evidence and agreed testing activities into clear findings and practical recommendations.

  • Online fraud
  • Digital scams
  • Brand impersonation
  • Phishing websites
  • OSINT investigations
  • Fraud intelligence

Services

Four ways to assess your fraud exposure.

Each service can be booked on its own or combined. The exact activities and deliverables are agreed with you before any work begins.

Online Fraud Readiness Assessment

Assess how exposed your business may be to common forms of online fraud.

Scope may include

  • Publicly observable impersonation risks
  • Fraudulent websites and lookalike domains
  • Suspicious social media profiles and advertisements
  • Publicly visible fraudulent promotions
  • Existing fraud-reporting and escalation processes

Deliverable

A structured assessment report with documented findings, risk prioritisation and recommended next steps.

Brand Impersonation Assessment

Investigate publicly observable websites, accounts, advertisements and other digital properties that may misuse your company's name, branding or identity.

Scope may include

  • Suspected impersonating websites
  • Lookalike domains
  • Social media impersonation
  • Suspicious advertisements and promotions
  • Evidence collection and documentation

Deliverable

An evidence-based findings report with relevant URLs, timestamps where available, confidence assessments and recommended follow-up actions.

Controlled Fraud Stress Tests

Evaluate selected fraud scenarios within an explicitly authorised and agreed scope.

Scope may include

  • Tabletop exercises involving impersonation and fraudulent payment requests
  • Simulated phishing exercises for authorised participants
  • Testing internal reporting and escalation procedures
  • Evaluating how a designated team handles sample fraud reports
  • Reviewing incident response and evidence-handling workflows

Every exercise requires written authorisation, a defined scope, clear exclusions and agreed safety controls. Exercises never involve your customers unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Deliverable

An assessment of observed weaknesses, response gaps and practical remediation priorities.

Continuous Fraud Intelligence

Ongoing review of agreed public sources and digital signals for potential brand impersonation and related online abuse.

Scope may include

  • Monitoring agreed domains and public channels
  • Reviewing suspicious websites and social profiles
  • Documenting emerging patterns
  • Periodic reporting
  • Escalation of relevant findings under agreed service levels

Coverage is limited to the agreed sources. We cannot guarantee detection of every case or the removal of fraudulent content.

Deliverable

Recurring intelligence reports and documented findings.

Why AbuseOne

From Suspicion to Actionable Intelligence.

Our assessments draw on the same evidence-led methods used across AbuseOne programs for companies.

Evidence-Based Investigations

Findings are documented and assessed against available evidence rather than relying on unsupported assumptions.

Practical Recommendations

Reports prioritise the issues identified and provide clear next steps for investigation, escalation and remediation.

A Structured Approach

Each engagement begins with an agreed scope, defined objectives and deliverables tailored to the business.

Process

Our assessment process.

A clear sequence from first conversation to final report, with written agreement on scope before any research or testing starts.
  1. 01

    Discovery

Understand the organisation, its concerns, objectives and relevant business context.

  2. 02

    Scope & Authorisation

Agree on the assessment scope, permitted activities, exclusions, timeline and deliverables in writing.

  3. 03

    Investigation & Assessment

Conduct the agreed research and testing, document findings and evaluate their significance.

  4. 04

    Findings & Recommendations

Deliver the report, discuss relevant findings and agree on potential follow-up work.

Scope and limitations

What an assessment can and cannot tell you.

AbuseOne is independent and not an official partner of the brands named on its program pages unless stated. Spotted a scam aimed at a brand already listed, such as Booking.com or DHL? You can submit a report directly.

  • Findings distinguish suspected fraud from confirmed fraud and state a confidence level.
  • An assessment covers only the agreed scope and observation period.
  • Completing an assessment is not proof that a business is fully protected against fraud.
  • We do not guarantee prevention, detection, investigation outcomes or removal of fraudulent content.
  • Controlled simulations and tests only take place with prior written authorisation.
  • All work respects applicable privacy, data protection and research laws.
